We recently joined the UNGC Network Switzerland & Liechtenstein, the official platform for the UN Global Compact (UNGC) in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. UNGC is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world with a mission to mobilize a global movement of sustainable business and stakeholders with more than 9,500 companies and 3,000 non-business signatories based in over 160 countries, and more than 60 Local Networks. UNGC is helping businesses implement practices that help build a better world for us all.
The goal for them is to help businesses expand their knowledge and expertise within sustainability. UNGC helps companies build trust and traceability by encouraging them to publicly announce commitments and report on their progress through a platform of corporate sustainability leaders and practitioners. They also support companies in achieving their sustainability objectives through various activities such as providing training and guidance.
We will be directly supporting the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption and we’re committed to implementing these principles into our strategy and taking action towards supporting the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
The Sustainable Development Goals that we are actively building into our strategy currently include 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production, and 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth.
